Who we are

The Jockey Club is a name synonymous with British Racing. Whilst the organisation started its life many years ago as the governing body of the sport, its role within the industry has changed and evolved. Formed in 1750 we have quite some heritage, to learn more about our amazing history click here.

Today, we hold a huge amount of pride in what we do, providing the best sporting moments across our 15 racecourses. It’s not just on the track where all the action happens, our venues offer unique and versatile spaces to deliver exceptional quality conferences and events throughout the country.

We offer world class training facilities, nurturing, and developing future generations, both equine and human at The National Stud and finally caring and supporting British Racing’s people through Racing Welfare.

Our Purpose
