Racing Welfare is a national charity supporting all those working and retired from the British horseracing and the breeding industry. We are currently looking to appoint a Fundraising Executive to effectively manage the charity’s community and volunteer-led fundraising events.


Role Summary


The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for the charity when it comes to the organisation of these events, and the role will provide administrative support and assistance with other activities, within the fundraising team.


The successful candidate will:


  • assist in the development of the community fundraising strategies and be responsible for growing the community fundraising budget
  • coordinate and manage Racing Welfares portfolio of Challenge Events
  • have experience in administration and strong organisational skills
  • have proven experience in building relationships with individuals and organisations
  • be responsible for managing and maintaining the volunteer database


It is essential to the role that the incumbent has a good understanding of the racing industry, along with a good understanding of the charity and volunteer sector’s fundraising practices.


This is a full time role which involves travel within the UK so is essential that the successful candidate holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle. There is also a requirement to support and attend charity events so will require some occasional evening and weekend commitments.
